The City of Providence's Department of Art, Culture and Tourism (ACT), has awarded a development project grant to Christopher Johnson and Mark Binder a devised theater piece called, “The F-Word.”
“The F-Word is about friendship," said Mark Binder, author and founder of The American Story Theater. “We live in a time of controversy and conflict. Issues that have simmered for years are surfacing, opening wounds and demanding action. Christopher and I have been grappling with the question, ‘What can ordinary people do to respond? To connect?’”
The F Word demystifies the gray areas of difference by building bridges, blending storytelling and conversation with poetry and comedy.
